BIOGRAPHY AND ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Presently I am studying my second year of illustration at Sheridan College’s Trafalgar campus in Oakville. This past year I have participated in two juried shows at the Barn Gallery at Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre, between which my pieces won two People’s Choice Awards and were nominated for Curator’s Choice Award. By the end of my time at Sheridan I hope to translate my degree into a career in the fine or commercial arts. As an artist I enjoy painting portraiture. I find the face to be an effective vessel for the telling of intricate narratives. The face often allows for stories to be told discretely and thus interpreted in a cavalcade of different ways. Ultimately, my work is narrative-focused, and I prefer to tell my stories through portraiture.
