ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Fran Turner is a mixed media artist living in Grey Highlands. Her preference is to combine acrylic paint with expressive marks made using other media such as pastels, ink, pens, charcoal, graphite and pencil crayons. She loves painting birds and animals, and enjoys figures with strong shapes and expressive poses. Fran tries to convey a story in each painting – although the story is always open to interpretation!
