Artist’s Statement
Birds with quirky personalities are my favourite subject. Painting them allows me to explore the
characteristics that make each bird unique. Strong shapes and vibrant colours are my preferred
elements. I love to capture the ephemeral quality of light as it falls across the bird’s delicate features. I am currently painting with acrylic paint on wooden panels.
