Pat Robertson began studying textiles and design as part of her B.Sc. at the University of Manitoba. During the 30 years she taught Art and Family Studies, Pat painted. Moving to a farm outside Walters Falls in 1987 stimulated a new creative emphasis and Pat switched to basketry. Pat has expanded from reed baskets to cultivated and wild willow baskets still focusing on traditional, utilitarian designs. She is also working with gourds and has resumed painting.
