BIOGRAPHY

As a young man, Toomas started painting in high school, but his career in medicine took much of his time and energy thereafter. Despite this, through the years he pursued his interest in art through sculpture (taught by a Dundas School of Art teacher), and watercolour (the La Cloche School of Art). For a short period, he shared studio space in Toronto. He has participated in a number of Walter’s Falls Art Camps (Cypress Lake, Manitoulin Island, Beaver Valley and Meaford), and has exhibited as the L.E. Shore Library in Thornbury. He enjoys challenging himself with different approaches and media in order to continually learn and make new creative discoveries.
